The Chaos Semafor MOD indicator for MT4 is one of the most advanced versions of the Chaos Semafor indicators, which identifies trend reversals of financial instruments. This indicator has three levels of trend reversal signals to validate the potential direction of the market.

Therefore, Forex traders can use the indicator to accurately spot optimal trend reversal zones for buying and selling opportunities.

Features of the Chaos Semafor MOD Indicator for MT4

As noted above, the indicator uses three different levels of confirmation to determine the trend direction of the market. Firstly, it displays a green or red dot when it identifies a minor swing point for a potential bullish/bearish trend reversal zone.

Furthermore, it displays a ‘star’ if the identified minor swing point is in a significant zone. Finally, it shows a ‘box’ as the third signal, confirming the trend reversal. The red dot, star, and box depict bearish reversal signals, which double as sell signals. Conversely, the green dot, star, and box indicate bullish signals, which depict buy signals.

Therefore, Forex traders might consider waiting for the ‘box’ signal before making trading decisions. Additionally, the indicator has a different signal alert system to enable traders to keep a tab on the indicator’s signals.

How to Install

How install MT4/5 indicator in the terminal?

To install an MT4/5 indicator in the terminal, follow these steps:

  1. Download the indicator file (.ex4 or .mq4/.ex5 or .mq5) to your computer.

  2. Open the MT4/5 terminal and click on “File” in the top left corner.

  3. Select “Open Data Folder” from the dropdown menu.

  4. In the window that opens, double-click on the “MQL4/5” folder.

  5. Double-click on the “Indicators” folder.

  6. Drag and drop the indicator file from your computer into the “Indicators” folder.

  7. Close the data folder window and restart the MT4/5 terminal.

  8. The indicator should now be available in the “Navigator” window on the left-hand side of the terminal. Simply double-click on the indicator to add it to a chart.

Note: If the indicator is in a .zip file, you will need to extract it first before following the above steps.

If the indicator you are installing requires access to external Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs), you may see a pop-up message asking you to confirm the use of DLLs.
